Marion- Carla Tomas, 47, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at her home.
Services for Carla will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion; Loyce Hopkins & Kim Swanson will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday starting at 1:00 PM up until service time. Interment will take place in Maplewood Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Susan B. Komen For The Cure Society; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959.
Carla was born on December 2, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri to Calvin Wiley “Red” & Carolyn K. (Brizendine) Hutcheson. She married Roger D. Thomas, Jr. and he survives.
Carla is survived by her loving husband; children, Nikki & Brandon Knull, Manda Kay & Michael Hall all of Carrier Mills and Josh Thomas of Marion; grandchildren, Payton, Xander, Ashton, Phoenix; brothers, Mark Hutcheson, Richard & Lupe Hutcheson and Robert & Tina Hutcheson; sister, Shari & Dave Jones; 6 aunts; 2 uncles; several cousins, nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Carla enjoyed art and the art of making cakes. She loved music, but especially loved her children and grandchildren. She was formerly employed as a CNA.
