MARION-Charlie R. Cox, 61, of Marion passed away at 6:00 PM, Friday, July 21, 2006 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Roger Odom officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 24, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Worley’s Cemetery, east of Marion. Memorials may be made to Worley’s Cemetery; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959.
Mr. Cox was born on July 23, 1944 in Carbondale, Illinois to Charles Lee and Edna Elizabeth (Hood) Cox. He married Nancy Hanks Eairheart.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Marion; son, Randy Cox of Marion; and step-grandchildren, Montanna Albright, Summar Albright, Landon Albright, Kaeden Albright and Reice Mae Albright.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Cox retired from Odom Concrete after 32 years of service. He loved to ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was the co-founder of Roadrunners Motorcycle Club. He was a member of the teamsters union #347.
