James B. Winn
MARION-James B. Winn, 69, of Marion passed away at 10:45 AM, Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 22, 2007 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Deon Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or White Freewill Baptist Church Youth Group; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959.
Mr. Winn was born January 18, 1938 in Marion to Orman and Sybil (Chamness) Winn. He married Juanita Wright on December 31, 1959 in Elgin; she preceded him in death on September 28, 1985.
Survivors include his fiancé, Sally Taylor of Marion; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Kerri Winn of Marion; son, Bob Winn of Goreville; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Brent Dunbar of Marion; grandchildren, Chase Winn, Cole Winn, Andrew Winn and Kaitlyn Dunbar; brother and sister-in-law, Theron and Sharon Winn of Johnston City; and many extended family members and friends.
91He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and brothers, Orman Winn, Jr. and Jerry Winn.
Mr. Winn enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, farming, small engine repair, raising Koi and helping others.
He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
