CARBONDALE-Sally Jo Grimes, 52, of Carbondale passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton, Kentucky.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Brad Harlow officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.
Sally was born December 31, 1956 in Carbondale to Harold and C. Margaret (Gamble) Lence. She married Brett Grimes at Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church in Herrin on November 13, 1999; he survives.
Survivors include husband Brett of Carbondale; daughter, Megan Etheridge and fiancé John Simpkins of Herrin; son, Brendan and Krystle Wollard of Eddyville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Skylor Simpkins, Piper Wollard, Benjamin Wollard, and Francesca Wollard; step-son, Dylan Grimes of Benton; parents, Harold & C. Margaret Lence of Marion; brother; Harold Allan & Debbie Lence of Johnston City; several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Carterville First Baptist Church. She loved scrap booking. She attended J. A. Logan College. She loved her dollhouses and dachshunds. She would take care of everyone else before herself. She will be missed by all who knew her.
