GOREVILLE-Albert Thornton, 89, of Goreville passed away at 7:15 AM, Saturday, May 14, 2005 at the Rehab and Care Center in Murphysboro. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2005 Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Reverend Jerry Lingle, Reverend Robert Schierbaum and Reverend Dale Billingsley officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Busby Cemetery in Goreville. Mr. Thornton was born on August 24, 1915 in Goreville, Illinois to Willis and Belle (Dunn) Thornton. He married Lula Francis Perry on February 13, 1933 in Vienna, Illinois. She preceded him in death on June 19, 1993. Survivors include daughter, Wanda and Frank Deere of Murphysboro, IL; grandchildren, Greg and Gina Deere of West Lafayette, IN, Gordon and LaDonna Deere of Freeman Spur, Geri and Fredrick Seigars of Eagan, MN; great grandchildren, Isaac Deere, Kareene Seigars and Kaylee Deere.
