Alice Abney

Carterville-Alice Abney, 94, formerly of Marion, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Villas of Holly Brook in Carterville. Alice was born on February 28, 1924 in Williamson County to Volney and Betty (McRoy) Moore. She married Charles Abney and he preceded her in death in 2002. Alice was a homemaker and a longtime member of Third Baptist Church. Her life was her children and grandchildren. Survivors include: Daughters: Annette and Raymond Harris of Marion Connie and Bob Hilliard of Marion Grandchildren: Randy Harris Julie and David Revelle Shanna Fleming Chad and Lisa Hilliard Lance and Cherra Hilliard Great grandchildren: Beth and Caleb Snider Mitchell Fleming Chance Hilliard Caden Hilliard Chase Hilliard Colden Hilliard She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at noon at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with David Revelle officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
