Alicia Calvert

Alicia Kay Calvert, 38, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Alicia was born on August 27, 1983 in Marion to Charles “Chuck” and Mary (Hart) Simpson.  She married Michael Calvert on December 26, 2013.

Survivors include:

Husband-Michael Calvert of Marion

Children: Daykota Grissom and Misty Grissom

Mother-Mary Simpson of Carterville

Sister-Marcia Smith of Carterville

She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, Edward Lee McGee.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Keith Owens officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Marion.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, and the executive order by the Governor of Illinois, those attending the visitation and the funeral service are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.

Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
