Allie Howard

Marion-Allie B. Howard, 89, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at her home. Allie was born on June 5, 1927 in Murray, KY to Benjamin and Allie (MacMurray) Boaz.  She married Charles M. Howard on June 12, 1950 in Murray.  He preceded her in death. Allie loved to read her bible.  She was a member of First Baptist Church.  After retirement from Pope County schools, she worked as a missionary in Ulanbaater, Mongolia. Survivors include: Son-Jim and Patti Howard of Marion Daughter-Dottie Howard of Marion Sisters-Martha Spangler and Lois Penrod She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; nine brothers and sisters Her wishes were to be cremated.  She will be buried at a later date in the family plot in Kentucky.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11am at First Baptist Church in Marion with Dr. Bob Dickerson officiating.  Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10am until the time of the service at the church.
