Amanda Brooke Dalton

Amanda Brooke Dalton, age 42, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Amanda was born October 11,1981 in Harrisburg, Illinois, a daughter of William James "Bill" McKenzie and Nancy G. Chapman. She married the love of her life, Brad Dalton in Paducah, Kentucky on June 20, 2011.

Amanda was a daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter, big sister twice, wife, mother, dog mom, niece, cousin, aunt, and friend to many. She had a contagious smile, a sweet and spicy personality, and a heart of gold. Her laughter will be deeply missed at every holiday and celebration moving forward. Amanda, we love you. Rest in peace.

She is survived by her husband- Brad Dalton; two daughters- McKenzie Brooke Dalton and MadaLynn Suzanne Dalton; her mother- Nancy G. Chapman; her father- William James "Bill" (Tammy) McKenzie; two sisters- Amy McKenzie (Samuel Holley) and Ashley Davis; brother-in-law- John (Allie) Dalton; niece and nephew- Emma and Will Davis; and several extended family members including aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather- James R. and (Ruby) Chapman, Maternal Grandmother- Linda Chapman, Paternal Grandparents- Jim and Shirley McKenzie, and Father-in-Law and Mother-in-law- Richard and Linda Dalton.

Graveside Services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Sunday, March 10 at 1:00 with Rev. Dennis Mohr officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with final arrangements. There will be a private service held by her father at a later date.
