Anna Abby

Harrisburg-Anna Belle Abby, 76, passed away at 11:40am on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Anna was born on June 27, 1939 in Creal Springs to Ernest and Ina Mae (Nanny) Lingle.  She married Harold Rector and he preceded her in death in 1997.  Anna later married Willis “Jerry” Abby and he survives of Harrisburg. Early in her life she was a member of Bethlehem Church and then later a member of 1^st Christian Church in Harrisburg.  Anna was a homemaker.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening and loved spending time with family and friends. Survivors include: Husband-Jerry Abby Sons-Stan (Christy) Rector of Johnston City, Mike (Karen) Rector of Royalton and Jon Rector of Carbondale 11 Grandchildren 22 Great grandchildren Brothers-Howard Lingle and Jerry (Janice) Lingle Sisters in law-Marie Lingle of Romeoville and Patricia Lingle of Marion She was preceded in death by her parents; 1^st husband, Harold; son, Matthew Rector; grandson, Paul Stanley Rector and brothers, Richard Lingle and Clyde Lingle Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11am at Bethlehem Church in Tunnel Hill with Rev. Biff Moore and Rev. Jerry Lingle officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.  Visitation will also be on Friday from 10am until the time of service at the church.  Blue Funeral Home in Goreville in assisting the family with arrangements.
