Annetta J. Markham

Goreville- Annetta J. Markham, age 84, of Goreville, passed away at 1:54am on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Annetta was born on May 28, 1936, the daughter of Arthur A. and Lillian Elizabeth (Bauman) Dale. She married Donald E. Hileman in Kankakee in March of 1957. She later married Gerald Lee Markham in Kankakee in June of 1978. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1999.

Prior to her retirement, Annetta had worked for the State of Illinois as a Mental Health Technician.

Daughter- Elizabeth and Eric Potter of Sheldon, IL

Daughter- Linda A. and Vernon Bell of Goreville

Daughter- Donna J. Burke of Martinton, IL

Daughter- Arlene D. and Brent Bires of Vienna

Daughter- Susan J. Hileman of Goreville

Step-Daughter- Annette Markham

Step-Daughter- Karen Nzerem

Step-Son- James Markham

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Gerald, great grandson- Jordan Davidson, sister- Lillian Elizabeth Dale, Step-Daughter- Michelle Meents, and step-grandson- Ryan Markham.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with her son-in-law, Rabbi Vernon Bell officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 9-11am on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the service are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.

Graveside services will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Kankakee Memorial Gardens in Kankakee. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery.
