Arlene was born on December 20, 1938 to Robert and Dorothy Delisle. She grew up in the Chicago, Roseland Area and attended Fenger High in Chicago.
Arlene gave birth to two sons, Richard S. and Robert A. from a previous marriage. She moved to Oahu, HI in 1964 and became the district manager of Presto Pride Cookware. She met her future husband in Oahu while he was serving in the military. Vernon M. Coffey was working with her part time when they fell in love. Arlene moved back to Chicago in 1966 and Vernon followed her and proposed. Arlene and Vernon were married July 23, 1966 in Chicago. They welcomed a new son, Timothy Coffey on December 10, 1967.
Arlene loved spending time with her grandbabies. She enjoyed camping, loved the outdoors and spending time with her husband.
