Aubrey Francis

Goreville-Aubrey Francis, 81, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Helia Healthcare of Energy. Aubrey was born on July 28, 1937 in Goreville to Almus and Vivian (Kelley) Francis. He married Donna Curl on April 19, 1993 at Taylor Methodist Church. Aubrey served in the U.S. Navy. He was a 50 year member of the Operating Engineers and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include: Wife-Donna Francis of Goreville Children: Aubrey Francis Jr. and wife Sherry of Ashland, KY Kenny Francis of Goreville Tami Taylor of Goreville Samuel Francis and Qaadir Rasheed of Holiday, FL Angie Pritchett of Goreville Jo Anne Goins and husband Eric of Goreville Several grandchildren and great grandchildren One great-great grandchild Brothers and sisters: Gussie Marlow and husband Bob of Salem Dorothy Pfeffer of Goreville Jean Tripp and husband Tommy of Goreville Pete Francis and wife Fran of Goreville Rick Francis and wife Ruby of Goreville Steve Francis and wife Lorna of Goreville He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sam and Curley and first wife, Helen Johnson who preceded him in death on January 19, 1990. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5pm-8pm at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
