Bradley Hopkins

Herrin- Bradley Hopkins, 63, of Herrin, passed away at, 7:50 AM, Friday, September 16, 2016 at his home. Bradley was born on December 18, 1952 in Herrin to Billy Ray and Betty Ruth (Sowman) Hopkins.  He married Christine Kedziolka on December 21, 1979 in Pittsburg, IL.  She survives of Herrin. He worked as a supervisor in the housing department of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.  He was a Christian and a member of the Union at SIU.  In his spare time, he enjoyed working on and driving automobiles, listening to classic rock, playing his guitar and spending time outdoors hiking at Pine Hills and Giant City.  He will be dearly missed by his friends, family and co-workers. Survivors include- Wife- Christine Hopkins of Herrin Son- Matthew Hopkins of Energy Son- Nathaniel Hopkins and wife Tammy of Marion 4 Grandchildren Brother- Michael Hopkins of Carterville He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at The Haven (10289 Haven Way  Carterville, IL   62918).  Paul Thompson will officiate. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at The Haven.  Memorial arrangements were made at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.
