Brian T. Allen, age 50, of Jonesboro, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 11:21 p.m. in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

Brian was born on May 30, 1970, at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of Alfred and Ella Mae (Thompson) Allen.  He worked in various positions through the S.T.A.R.T. Program at Chamness Care. Brian was baptized June 5, 1983 at Paul’s Chapel Baptist Church in Marion.  He enjoyed cooking and was an avid antique collector and sports fanatic.  He was especially a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Survivors include his mother, Ella Mae Allen of Marion; his son, Brian Jordan Allen of Marion; a step-son, Antony Allen of Waco, Texas; ten brothers and sisters, Richard Allen of Danville, Illinois, Stephanie Allen-Baker (Andre Baker, Sr.) of Marion, Andrew Allen of Boca Raton, Florida, Gwendolyn Allen of Smyrna, Georgia, Kevin C. Allen of Eldorado, Illinois, Monecia Allen of Carbondale, Illinois, LaGresha Allen-Tucker of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kinesha Allen-Nelson (Lance Nelson) of Norcross, Georgia, Kyna D. Allen of Dayton, Ohio and Nancy Allen-King of Austell, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, C.D. and Inez Thompson and Frances Cooper; his father, Alfred Allen; and a nephew, Jordan Allen-Johnson.

Brian will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with the arrangements.
