Carol Schwenneker

Marion-Carol A. Schwenneker, 70, passed away at 9pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Carol was born in Omaha, Nebraska on November 9, 1944 to James and Agnes (Yankowski) Hopkins.  She married Terry Schwenneker in Omaha on October 30, 1965.  He preceded her in death on July 14, 2009. Carol was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Marion and a member of the Afghan Hound Club of Omaha, NE.  She loved spending time with her dogs, family and friends. Carol will be missed by all. Survivors include her brother-Brian Hopkins and wife Debbie of North Bend, Washington; her “Angels” that were by her side, Carol Mocaby, Chuck and Jeanne Walters, Louise Crist, Pat and Gerald Feezor, Rita and Bill Dutton, Teresa Jack and Lynda Marx of Omaha. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11am at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Marion with Monsignor Thomas Flach officiating.  Entombment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska. Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 10am until the time of service at the church. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Josephs Catholic Church and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N.
