Carterville- William Charles Ford, Jr., age 95, of Carterville, passed away at 8:30pm on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion. William was born in Creal Springs on August 29, 1919, the son of William Charles and Minnie (Taylor) Ford. He married Betty Adams in Cape Girardeau in 1941. She survives. Charles was a proud United State Navy Veteran, having served in World War II. He had worked his entire life as a barber. Survivors include his wife- Betty Adams of Marion Nephew- Jerry Ford of Ontario, Canada Nephew- Richard Ford of Elgin, IL He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother- Elbert Ford. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 3, 2015 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with military honors provided by the Marion VFW and National Guard Ritual Teams. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service, Friday at the funeral home.
