Charles Roy Francis

Charles Roy Francis, age 88, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Shawnee Senior Living Center in Herrin, Illinois.

Charles was born February 09, 1934 in Carbondale, Illinois, a son of Thomas and Pearl (Suthard) Francis. Prior to his retirement, Charles had worked as a custodian at the Marion Hospital and later at John Simmons Auction Barn in Vienna.

He is survived by his cousin, William (Glenda) Colp and other extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Pearl (Suthard) Francis and three brothers, Harry Lee Francis, Richard Eugene Francis, and Franklin Thomas Francis.

Visitation will be from11am until noon on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 12:00pm noon with Rev. Richard Pierce officiating at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville. Burial will follow at Cana Cemetery in Goreville.
