Cheryl Maynard

Marion-Cheryl Ann Maynard, 60, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Herrin Hospital. Cheryl was born on May 1, 1957 in Carbondale to Nolan Owen and Doris Mae (Cole) England. She married Wayne Maynard on June 25, 1977 in Marion. Cheryl graduated from Marion High School, Class of 1975. She was a nurse faculty member at John A. Logan College and helped develop the Family Literacy Program there.  Cheryl was also the Director of Nurses at a nursing home in West Frankfort. Survivors include: Husband-Wayne Maynard of Marion Daughter-Laura and Daniel Leffler of Willow Hill, IL Parents-Nolan and Doris England Brother-David and Patti England Sister-Suzan and Troy Ward Several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by two grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Mike Cash officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
