Marion-Corey Hogue, 17, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Marion. Corey was born on June 19, 2000 in Carbondale to Clifford Hogue, Jr. and Jennifer (Vorhees) Hogue. He was a hard working young man who worked at Crab Orchard Golf Club in Carterville and Wal-Mart. Corey was a junior at Crab Orchard High School. He loved to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing and golfing.  He had a big heart and put others before himself.  He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. Survivors include- Father- Clifford Hogue, Jr and wife Dianna of Marion Mother- Jennifer Hogue and Harold Houser of Cambria Sister- Brittany Barton of Marion Sister- Shianna Barton of Marion Sister- Heavan Barton of Marion Brother- Clifford C. Hogue of Holland Brother- Nathan Barton of Marion Brother- Zacharius Barton of Marion Niece- Dahlia Little Paternal grandparents- Clifford W. Hogue of Marion Maternal grandparents- Gary and Nancy Vorhees of Cambria Glenda Page of Buckner Uncles and Aunts- Craig and Paige Hogue of Iowa Christine and Scott Green of Marion Erin and Adam Willett of Mesa, AZ Sarah and Paul Wendel of Nashville, TN Joe and Brittany Jackson of McLeansboro Tony and Marissa Jackson of Valier William and Rosa Burkes of McLeansboro Shyla Wagner of Marion Brandy Wagner of McLeansboro Angelo Wagner of McLeansboro He was preceded in death by his grandmother- Cynthia Hogue. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Michael Williams officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Sunday from 12pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the family c/o Clifford Hogue, Jr. and will be accepted at the funeral home.
