Craig Godard

Marion-Craig Godard, 71, passed away at 5:47pm on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his home. Craig was born on October 6, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA to Frank and Dorothy (Schluter) Godard. He married Jane Davis in St. Petersburg, FL on May 9, 1993. She survives of Marion. Craig retired from the IBEW after working there for 46 years. He was known as the “answer man.” Craig was a Corvette enthusiast and enjoyed collecting Corvette memorabilia. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be missed by all. Survivors include: Wife-Jane Godard of Marion Children: Stephanie Godard of San Francisco Megan Godard-Wall (Justin) of Minneapolis Johnna Stewart (Travis) of Creal Springs Joe Byrn (Kim) of Marion Jana Byrn of Marion Grandchildren: Trevor Stewart Kory Byrn Tony Stewart Christopher Byrn Great grandchildren: Tileah Jane Stewart Tyce Stewart Sister in law-Ann Elqudsi (Wasef) Special cousin-Don Davis of Harrisburg He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cathy. It was Craig’s wishes to be cremated. There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 2-4pm at the Godard Home. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial donations are suggested to the family or Celtic Hospice and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N.
