Cynthia Stone

Marion- Cynthia Stone, age 72, of Marion, passed away at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Integrity Healthcare of Carbondale.

Cynthia was born in Marion on February 7, 1948, the daughter of Wesley and Frona Sherrod. She married Victor Stone on July 18, 1969 in Marion and together they shared almost 50 years of marriage.  He preceded her in death on March 2, 2016.

Cynthia was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church in Energy. She had worked as a hairdresser and then devoted her life as a homemaker.

Daughter-Victoria Stone of Carbondale

Brother- Richard Sherrod

Sister- Alta (Sherrod) Murphy

Sister-in-laws-Dorothy Odum, Pam Stone, and Jacqueline Stone

Brother-in-law and sister-in-law- -Gene and Donna Stone

Several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers-in-law- Leslie Stone, Dan Stone, and Donnie Odum.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2020, at 12:00pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor David Dyer and Pastor Darrell Wimberly officiating.  Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 10am until the time of service at Blue Funeral Home.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the service are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.
