Dale Rentfro

Dale Allen Rentfro, 77, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.

Dale was born on July 29, 1943 in Crab Orchard to James and Jessie (Edwards) Rentfro.  He married Joyce Sears on September 2, 1973 in Marion.

Dale served in the U.S. Navy.  He was a Mason and a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Marion.  Dale worked as a coal miner and then for the City of Marion at the Sewer Dept.

Survivors include:

Wife-Joyce Rentfro of Marion

Son-Marty Rentfro (Cortney) of Marion

Brother-Gene Rentfro (Loretta) of Johnston City

Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Rentfro, and sister, Judy Ray.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 1pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Military Rites will be performed by the Marion VFW with assistance from the U.S. Navy.  Visitation will be on Sunday from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
