David Absher

Marion-Samuel David Absher, 85 of Marion went home to be with Jesus his Savior on May 12, 2016. David was born on October 7, 1930 to John and Kate Absher.  He married Mary Alice Mitchell on August 25, 1951 in Spokane, Washington. Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Absher; daughter, Cindy Absher of Marion; daughter, Carol Rushing and her husband Darron Rushing of Marion; grandchildren, Ashleigh Rushing, Cassie Brooke (Rushing) and her husband Tom Brooke of Carbondale, Haley and Mitchell Rushing.  Brother, Orie Absher of Quincy as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kate and father, John; brothers, Charlie, Leslie, Clarence, Maurice, Mason and sisters Vivian and Lavina. The family will have a private graveside service. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
