David M. Vinyard MARION-David M. Vinyard, 52, of Marion, passed away at 6:34 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion with Reverend Roger Perry, Reverend Roger Russell and Reverend Joye Perry officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church Music Department; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Vinyard was born on April 24, 1953 in Harrisburg, Illinois to James and Phyllis (Dillard) Vinyard. He married Debby Brown on April 6, 1979 in Murphysboro, Illinois. Survivors include his wife, Debby of Marion; his parents, James and Phyllis of Murphysboro; brother and sister-in-law, Derry and Lois Vinyard of Chester; nephews, Ryan and Eric Vinyard; and his special companion, `Leo` his Golden Retriever. David was an active member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He taught Sunday School for the Homebuilders Class, was active in the Music Department, where everyone loved to hear him play his guitar. He previously worked as a Special Education Teacher and Educational Administrator before joining his wife, Debby at Vinyard Financial Planning.
