Deanna June Boyt

Deanna June Boyt, age 83, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Herrin Hospital.

Deanna was born July 28, 1938 in Marion, Illinois. She married the love of her life, Arlie Hubert "Andy" Boyt. He preceded her in death. Deanna was the proud owner and operator of Dee's Pets in Marion for many years.

She is survived by three sons, Patrick Lee (Eileen) Boyt, Greg (Jacalyn) Boyt, and Alan Boyt; nine grandchildren, Patrick Daniel Boyt, Lucas Boyt, Garrett (Tanisha) Boyt, Heather (Tyler) Couty, Samantha (Ernie) Gurganus, Amanda Boyt, Allison Boyt, Michael Boyt, and Steve Boyt; Step-Daughter, Thala Boyt-Chestosky, Step-Son Mark (Marsha) Boyt, Step-Son David Boyt, Step-Son Christopher (Yolanda) Boyt, Great Grandchild Elizabeth Boyt, Great Grandchild Chloe Boyt, Great Grandchild James Bradley Boyt, Great Grandchild Ariella Gurganus, Great Grandchild Sebastien Gurganus, Great Grandchild Carter Couty, and two sisters- Doris and Alice.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandchild, Bradley Boyt and one sister, Dorothy Blumenstock.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1-4pm on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Family and friends are asked to gather to share in a time of fellowship, memories and remembrances.

Alan, I was truly saddened to hear of the passing of your mom! I visited the store to see you mom just as much as I did to purchase supplies for many years. Of course in recent years her health limited the amount of time she could spend in the shop and I missed seeing her. Still I don't think I ever made a purchase where I didn't ask Mike, you, whoever was working how Dee was doing! She will be sorely missed!

I Know That I'm Going to Miss You With All My Heart, But You Are in A Better Place Especially With Jesus our Lord King & Sweet Holy Mighty Savior , I I Member You're sweet smile , A Long time Ago I Did Something Bad But Right Now I Don't Even Remember Know More, But Dad Was Gone A You Came to Me & Said Chris I'm Going to Have to Bust You But, & I Said No You're Not, Then Dee Said if I Don't then Andy will, Then I Thought About it & said ok You can Do it, & She Beat the crap out of Me, After She Got Done She Told Me That it Had to Be Like Andy s other Wise it Wouldn't Have Thought Me Anything, After it was Done She Looked At Me And said I Love Just Like My own Sons,; Dee Has Always Been There For Me, And Every Body Else For that Matter; She Was very Kind; She Always Tried Her Best to Help others, She was A Blessing to us All,
