Della Mae Emery MARION-Della Mae Emery, 95, of Marion passed away at 1:40 PM, Saturday, March 28, 2004 at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Kenny Johnson and Reverend Bill Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Marion. Memorials may be made to Scottsboro Baptist Church building fund; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Emery was born on January 27, 1909 in Williamson County, Illinois to Ephram and Dovie (Bundren) Clendenin. She married Leo Emery, he preceded her in death on March 21, 1973. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Gerald Canaday of St. Ann, Missouri; grandchildren, Bob and Debe Canaday, Dan Canaday, and Karla and Ken Conrey; great grandchildren, Brandi Rockley, Ryan Canaday, Micah Canaday, Kasey Canaday, Justin McQuisten, Jeffrey Conrey, Richard Conrey, Kelly Conrey, Eric Busby, Christopher Enloe, and Daniel Enloe; great great grandchildren, Damien Canaday, and Riley Kate Conrey; and brother, Virgil Clendenin of Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; great grandson, Brandon Canaday; four sisters, Lillie Evetts, Nellie Emery, Ruth Harper, and Grace Troxel; and three brothers, Lee, Math and Bill Clendenin. Mrs. Emery was a member of Scottsboro Baptist Church for 86 years, was in charge of the floral decorating at the church, and was an active member of the Prayer and Share Group. She worked for Smolers in Herrin. She loved gardening.
