Dennis Girtman

Dennis E. Girtman, age 67, of Marion, Illinois,  passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at Integrity Health Care in Marion, Illinois.

Dennis was born July 16, 1954 in Goreville, Illinois, a son of Charles and Thelma Margaret (Jackson) Girtman. He married the love of his life,  Dorothy Watson. She preceded him in death in 1991. Dennis had worked his entire life as an auto body mechanic.

Survivors include his son- Michael Dean (Carrie) Watson of Marion
Four Grandchildren- Tyarra, Jaci, Blake, and Allie
Great Grandchild- Braelyn
Sister- Beverly O'Connor of Vincennes, Indiana
Sister- Mae Yarbor of Goreville
Sister- Ellen Louise Girtman of Marion
Brother- Daniel (Robin) Girtman of Marion
Brother- Marshall Girtman of Sesser
Sister- Marcia (Bob) Bartlett of Marion
Sister- Gwendolyn Jones of Harrisburg

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister- Charlene McGlone, brother- Charles Douglas Girtman, and sister- Darlene McCourt.   

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022, 11:00 AM at Cana Cemetery in Goreville with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery.  Blue Funeral Home in Goreville is assisting the family with final arrangements.
