Dennis Piercy

Dennis Piercy, 64, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Dennis was born on November 13, 1953 in Christopher to Roy Russell and Margaret Lou Piercy.  Dennis and Diana Piercy were married on September 20, 1997 and she survives. Dennis was a graduate of Benton High School, class of 1971. He was a carpenter by trade, a St. Louis Cardinals Fan, enjoyed cooking shows, woodworking and watching and playing basketball.  Dennis loved spending time with his kids and grandchildren. Survivors include: Wife-Diana of Marion Children: Nathan (Jessica) Piercy of Marion Melanie Downs of Marion Tracy (Vinh) Tran of St. Louis Lindsay (BJ) Powell of Marion Gena (Chris) Blue of Marion Grandchildren: Adria Downs of Marion Carlie Piercy of Marion Bailee, Brockton, Britton and Briar Powell of Marion Kennedy and Carson Blue of Marion Madalyn and Micah Tran of St. Louis Brothers and sisters: Roberta (Gene) Barnfield of Benton Russell (Sharon) Piercy of Sikeston Randy (Margaret) Piercy of Soperton, GA Les (Barb) Piercy of Marion Gary (Dianna) Piercy of Benton Pam (John) Barwick of Marion Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 12pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Jason McKinnies officiating.  Entombment will follow at Egyptian Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be on Monday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home_. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
