Dimple Goodwin MARION-Dimple Goodwin, 80, of Marion passed away at 2:35 PM, Friday, April 9, 2004 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Jeff Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, April 12, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion. Memorials may be made to Abundant Life Assembly of God, envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Goodwin was born on March 10, 1924 in Johnson County, Illinois to Louie and Zula (Smith) Boner. She married Stanley B. Goodwin on August 3, 1947, he preceded her in death on May 28, 2000. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Mark R. Brychta of Bloomingdale; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kay Goodwin of Dover, Tennessee; grandchildren, Mark and Beth Brychta, Beth Brychta, Sara Brychta, Daniel Goodwin and Tony Goodwin; great granddaughter, Rose Marie Brychta; sisters, Mary Tyrell of Sandwich; Louie Fay Brown of Kankakee; Wanda Pena of Sandwich; and brother, Cecil Smith of St. Charles. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and four sisters, Betty Heck, Mae Buttrum, Joan Newell and Julie Boner. Mrs. Goodwin was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God in Marion. She was a homemaker.
