Marion-Dortha D. Williams, 94, passed away at 1:05pm on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Dortha was born on December 18, 1921 in McRae, AR to William and Sarah (Mizell) Gregory. She married Henry Williams and he preceded her in death. Dortha was of Methodist Faith. She formerly worked at Sangamo and Allen Industries. Dortha enjoyed crocheting and working puzzle books and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include: Daughter-Charlotte Connell of Marion Grandchildren-Terrie and Edward Welter; Scott and Brenda Connell; Bill Connell and Sarah and Chuck Robertson Seven great grandchildren 10 great-great grandchildren Two great-great-great grandchildren Sister-Ann and Charles Harper Several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ray Parris; brother, Truman Gregory; sister, Christeen Gregory and son in law, Jack “Pup” Connell A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 12pm-2pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Andy Black having a prayer at the conclusion of the visitation. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court/Marion, IL 62959.
