Edna M. `Tooter` Dunning MARION-Edna M. `Tooter` Dunning, 77, of Marion passed away at 1:46 PM, Thursday, June 9, 2005 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Bill Hull officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 top 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the funeral home. Mrs. Dunning will be buried next to her husband at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Mrs. Dunning was born on March 9, 1928 in Royalton, Illinois to Charles and Lola Devine. She married David Leroy Dunning on January 11, 1947 in Blytheville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1998. Survivors include son, Steven Dunning; step-mother, Gladys Devine of Waltonville, IL; sister, Patricia and Joe French of St.Louis, MO; brother, Tom and Jackie Devine of Waltonville, IL; she is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Delores and Bill Hull of Carrier Mills, IL; brother-in-law, Leon Dunnning of Carrier Mills, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dean Dunning; sisters, Betty Wren and Dorothy Mikel. Mrs. Dunning was a retired teacher and taught in area schools.
