Floyd Gerald White

Floyd Gerald White, age 95, of Johnston City, Illinois, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Herrin Hospital in Herrin, Illinois.

Floyd was born January 01, 1928 in Watson, Illinois, a son of Otis and Leta (Norris) White. He married the love of his life, Cornelia Cleo Matlock on April 27, 1972 in Newton, Illinois. Floyd raised and raced horses and farmed.

He is survived by his wife-Cornelia Cleo (Matlock) White of Johnston City, IL; one daughter, Linda Wyatt; several nieces and nephews including Floyd White and John Harvey. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Leta (Norris) White; son-in-law- Jerry Wyatt; and six siblings, Bill White, Harold White, Vorris White, Thelma Harvey, Vella Easton, and Mae White.

A time of visitation will be Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Private graveside services will be held at Trexler Cemetery in Jasper County.
