Fred Neal

Herrin-Fred Neal, 79, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Fred was born on July 7, 1939 in Franklin County to Taylor and Wanda (Hays) Neal. He married Luan Peterson in 1967 and she survives. Fred worked as a mortgage banker for many years. He was an avid golfer and an active member of Crab Orchard Golf Club.  Fred enjoyed traveling especially his travels to Scotland to play golf. Survivors include: Wife-Luan Daughter-Tracey Glenn and husband Bill Son-Rob Wendt and wife Kellie Grandchildren: Logan Crowe Neal and Syna Wendt Nolan Crowe Natalie Wendt Hannah Crowe Taylor and Kyle LaFrence Michaela Reel Caroline Wendt William Wendt Augie Wendt Brother in law-Ron Peterson and wife Katie Fur babies- “Hogan” and “Jubilee” He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenton Neal and daughter, Lisa Crowe A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Crab Orchard Golf Club from 4pm-6pm.
