Marion-George Moake, 78, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at his home. George was born on July 17, 1940 in Johnson County to Edward and Bessie (Wilson) Moake. George was of Baptist faith. He was a long time drywall finisher and painter. Survivors include: Children: Rhonda and Robert Melton Gary and Rhonda Moake Grandchildren: Hilary and Mark Johnson Hailey and Ben Bloyer Carly and Adam Kissinger Hannah Melton Katie Moake Lydia Moake Chase Moake Lucas Moake Great grandchildren: Molly Johnson Paisley Johnson Andie Johnson Kora Bloyer Brother-Bill Moake Sister-Susie Emery Best friend-Fred Throgmorton He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Bennie, Edward and Albert; sisters, Lula Harpstrite, Alene Mezo, Sarah Craig and Ruby Manier. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 11am at Cana Cemetery in Goreville with Rev. Kenny Blumenstock officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
