Jackie Boles

Marion-Jackie Laverne Boles, 76, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Jackie was born on June 27, 1941 in Marion to Jack and Ruby Faye (Emery) Boles. He married Sue Lukens in Herrin on October 20, 1962. Jackie served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Enterprise from 1960-1964 during the Cuban Crisis. He was a Deacon at Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church.  Jackie loved to camp, play golf and enjoyed coaching baseball. Survivors include: Wife-Sue Boles Children: Kimberly Boles of Marion Greg and Teresa Boles of Marion Grandchildren: Megan Boles Brandie McKeal Chris Mandrell Clinton Mandrell Four great grandchildren Sister-Charlotte Hilton of Marion Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 1pm at Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11am until the time of service at the church. Memorial donations are suggested to Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/1704 N.
