Jean Powell

Marion-Jean Ann Powell, 81, passed away at 10:56am on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.

Jean was born on November 1, 1938 in Goreville to Beatrice Ray. She married Harlan Powell and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2007.

Jean was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren; they were the light of her life.  In her youth, she enjoyed watching and playing sports.  She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and Kentucky Wildcats fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and son, Todd Powell.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Drake Cemetery in Creal Springs with Rev. Eddie Donnelson officiating.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.  Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting with arrangements.
