Jeanne L. Lerch

Marion- Jeanne L. Lerch, age 76, of Marion, passed away at 12:42pm on Monday, January 9, 2017, in Parkway Manor. Jeanne was born April 15, 1940 to Muriel (Corrin) Thorley in Canton, OH. She was united in marriage to Harrel S. Lerch on April 22, 1960 in Coldwater, Michigan. He proceeded her in death May 24, 2013. They were married for 53 wonderful years. A resident of Marion since 1963, Jeanne was a full time mother and homemaker who enjoyed preparing meals for her family. Over the years she has collected a large library of cookbooks and cooking magazines. She also loved to spend her free time reading, watching TV and spending time with her family. She is survived by children Harrel Lerch Jr. and spouse, Debra, of Marion, Steve Lerch and spouse, Laura, of Marion, Michele Fuller and spouse Keith, of Marion, Jon Lerch of West Frankfort, Eric Lerch and spouse, Vicki, of Marion, Chris Lerch of Caterville, Dawn Bump and spouse, Corey, of Coulterville, Elizabeth Williams and spouse, JD, of Marion; grandchildren Zachary and Lindsey Guill, Tori Guill, Jonathan and Ashley Lerch, Seth Lerch, Noah Lerch, Matthew Lerch, Caden Bump, Angel Prince, Jeremy and Pam McKane; great grandchildren, Brenna Lerch, Baylee Lerch, Hudson Guill, Hallie Guill, Mason McKane and Gregrey McKane. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother Muriel Thorley; her daughter Alisa Marie; daughter in law Lisa Lerch; and granddaughters Payton Lerch and Kaitlin Lerch. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Blue Funeral home in Marion with Rev. Andy Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Blue Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available during services or may be sent to the funeral home.
