Jerry Lynn Pritchett, age 79, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 7:05 am at the V.A. Medical Center in Marion.

Jerry was born December 14, 1944 in Marion, he was the 11th child born to William and Libby Helen (King) Pritchett. He married the love of his life, Diane Sue (Keyser) Pritchett on April 8, 1982 at the 1st Baptist Church Marion and together they have shared over 41 years of marriage.

Jerry was of the Baptist faith. He was a proud Navy veteran, he served from 1965-1967, as an electrician who worked on the helicopters. Jerry worked many years as a mechanic at various auto dealerships and retired from the State of Illinois Central Management Service. Jerry and Diane were snowbirds, spending 6 months of each year in Florida where Jerry loved to fish and have fish frys. They also enjoyed traveling across the country in their camper.

He is survived by his spouse Diane Sue Pritchett of Marion, four children, Angela (Kevin) Helfrich of Marion, Erik (Belinda) Pritchett of Marion, Robin (Jerry) Meyer of Waynesfield, MO, and Darin Sigler of FL; six grandchildren, Lia (Darian) Wheaton, Derik Pritchett, Wyatt Gabby, Jerin (Steven) Lee, Kristin Grace Meyer, and Dani Griffith; his Great Grandchild, Evelyn Wheaton, plus two great grandchildren on the way, and many nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Claude and Libby Helen (King) Pritchett and ten siblings, Jessie (John Wade) Duncan, Bill (Jo Nell) Pritchett, Janie Lou (Paul) Booth, Paul Pritchell, Ralph Jean Pritchett, Joan (Junior) Hock, Jack (Billie Jean) Pritchett, Larry (Sandy) Pritchett, Marylan (Marvin) Roberts and Carl Ray Pritchett.

In accordance with Jerry's wishes he will be cremated and no services will be held. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
