Joan Marie Davis

Joan Marie Davis, age 67, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024 at her home in Marion, Illinois.

Joan was born August 31, 1956 in Benton, Illinois, a daughter of William and Lola (Kent) Burgess. She married the love of her life, Tim Davis on January 23, 1993. Joan was born in Benton, Illinois and graduated from Mt Carmel High school. She worked for Celebrity Boats following high school and later was a homemaker.

Joan loved dogs and taking care of her family and home.

She is survived by her spouse Tim Davis of Marion, IL; four children, Ryan (Jamie) Hipsher of Allendale, IL, Curt (Leslie) Hipsher of Mount Carmel, IL, Jake Davis of Johnston City, IL, and Rachel Davis of WA; five grandchildren, Lauren Hipsher of Mount Carmel, IL, Hailey Hipsher of Kansas City, KS, Mckenzie Hipsher of Allendale, IL, Luke Hipsher of Mount Carmel, IL, and Ty Hipsher of Mount Carmel, IL; and four sisters, Pam (Steve) Tabor of West Frankfort, IL, Carolyn (Fred) West of Benton, IL, Elaine Burgess of IL, and Theresa Griffith of Mill Shoals, IL. She is preceded in death by five siblings, Richie Burgess, Rebecca Pace, Cynthia Parks, Edward Burgess, and David Miskelly.

Blue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A Memorial Service will be held at the Marion First Church of the Nazarene (809 W. White Street, Marion IL 62959) on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at 4 P.M.
