John Anthony Palmer

HERRIN- John Anthony Palmer, 49, of Herrin passed away at 5:20 PM, Sunday, May 22, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Bill Rucker officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Memorials may be made to the family of John Palmer; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Palmer was born on June 20, 1955 in Chicago, IL to Sylvester and Betty (Borst) Palmer. He married Geraldine Trombetta in July of 1978 in Chicago. She preceded him in death on September 14, 2004. Survivors include his mother, Betty Palmer of Chicago; son, Scott Palmer of Herrin; daughters, Melissa Palmer of Johnston City, Jennifer Palmer of Murphysboro, Tracy Garcia of Marion, Christine Hazen of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Brandon, Zach, Tyler, Madison, Maximus, Zoe, Chloe, and Sara; brother, Terry Palmer of Boston, MA; sister, Betty and Reverend Bill Rucker. He is preceded in death by his father; wife; sister, Sherry Duffy.
