Kathryn B. Hendrickson MARION-Kathryn B. Hendrickson, 86, of Marion passed away at 11:50 AM, Sunday, August 7, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Poshard Foundation or Fraternal Order of Eagles; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mrs. Hendrickson was born on November 16, 1918 in Marion, Illinois to Edgar and Cora (Robertson) Binkley. She married Louie Hendrickson on June 20, 1940 in St. Charles, Missouri, he preceded her in death on September 3, 1981. Survivors include nephews and nieces, Robert E. and Beverly Binkley and Terry Binkley and Donna Holder; great nephews and nieces, Jason and Jamie Binkley, Kenny and Kathy Kleckner, Joni Binkley, Ashley Binkley and Mark and Sara Taylor; and great great nephews and nieces, Alec, Kaia and Kaela Binkley, Hannah and Hayden Kelckner, Drake Taylor and Jace Binkley. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Kathryn was a longtime employee at Woolworth Department Store and also worked at the Illinois State Building. Kathryn joined the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary on March 26, 1950 as a charter member of the Marion Post #2457. She was appointed the first Auxiliary Treasurer. She was the third President of this Auxiliary and was President a second time in 1958-1959. Kathyrn served her Auxiliary very well over 55 years, besides being Madam President twice; she was Madam Conductor for 25 years and had been the Auxiliary Secretary since 1989. She was also a member of the VFW Women`s Auxiliary, the Williamson County Merit Board, American Legion Auxiliary Post #147, VFW Post #1301 Auxiliary and Marion Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
