Lacey Havlicek

Lacey Denise Havlicek, 35, of Herrin, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:14am at her home.

Lacey was born in June 30, 1985 in Walworth, WI to Frank Havlicek and Jo Ann Zimmerman.

Lacey is survived by her husband, Kevin Peebels; step daughter, Elizabeth Gentry; brother, Mike Zimmerman; aunt, Traci Smith; cousins, Cera Zimmerman, Matthew Smith, Alayna Beoth and close friend, Chris Steele.

Lacey worked mostly in the medical field, spending most of her career at the Marion VA Hospital as an LPN.  She was a very good nurse to all her patients.  The veterans loved her taking care of them. Lacey loved life.  She enjoyed listening to music, reading books, watching scary movies and going into the country to target shoot.  Lacey was loved by many and will be missed.  She always made life so much brighter.

She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents, Keith and Rachel Zimmerman.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2020 from 1pm-2pm at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the service are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.

Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
