Larry Rea

Goreville-Larry Dale Rea, 76, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Marion.

Larry was born on May 22, 1943 in East St. Louis to Roy and Ruby (Smith) Rea.  He married Virgi Knoles and she survives.

Larry served in the U.S. Marines and then the U.S. Navy.  He worked as an auto mechanic for many years and attended Goreville United Methodist Church.

Daughter-Kristie Onstead and husband Doug

Son-Kevin Dale Rea

Grandson-Garrettt Rea

Brothers-Donald Rea, Richard Rea and Kenneth Rea

Sisters-Karen Leathers and Shirley Pregada

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob Rea.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11am at Mound City National Cemetery.  Military Rites will be performed by the area ritual team with assistance from the U.S. Navy.  Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
