Larry Yarbor

Goreville-Larry Ray Yarbor, 73, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Larry was born on March 15, 1945 in Keensburg to Raymond and Minnie (Peach) Yarbor. He married Elza Mae Girtman on May 27, 1964 in Rochester. Larry was the Worshipful Master of the Saline Masonic Lodge #339 on several occasions and through the chairs. He volunteered at the Lake of Egypt Fire Department for many years. Larry was an avid car collector and loved Studebakers. He enjoyed farming and gardening and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include: Wife-Elza Mae Yarbor of Goreville Daughters: Candice Yarbor-McCurdy of Goreville Misty Yarbor-Bartlett and husband David Bartlett of Goreville Grandchildren: Dakodah McCurdy Zachary McCurdy Dustin Rees Echo Rees Ezra Rees Sisters: Sue Schuetz of South Haven, MS Linda Sanders of Rogersville, MO Brother-Douglas and Stacy Yarbor of O’Dessa, TX Mother-Minnie Yarbor-Dossett of South Haven, MS He was preceded in death by his father; brother in law, Carl Schuetz; grandparents and son in law, Duane Rees. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 12pm at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Rev. R.G. Null officiating. Burial will follow at Cana Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday from 10am-12pm at the funeral home, with Masonic Rites being performed at 12pm.
