Leon Craig

Goreville-Leon Craig, 78, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Herrin Hospital. Leon was born on August 18, 1939 in Goreville to Clifton and Elza Mae (Girtman) Craig. He married Carolyn Miller in Vienna on March 14, 1962. Leon loved Nascar and John Deere tractors. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include: Wife-Carolyn Craig of Goreville Children-Vickie Barton and Pete Richardson Grandchildren: Cliff and Kaci Dunn of Lake of Egypt Pamela Sue Craig of Goreville Denzil Barton of Karnak Great grandchild-Hunter Dunn Aunt-Tennie Ann Girtman of Goreville Uncle-Junior and Rosie Craig of Goreville Brothers in law: Richard Miller Jerry and Diane Miller He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeff Craig; son in law, Jerry Barton; father in law, George Miller and mother in law, Margie Miller. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Pastor L.D. Jolly officiating. Burial will follow at Busby Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
