Lonnie Tait

Lonnie Tait, 72, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the VA Medical Center in Marion.

Lonnie was born on November 23, 1947 in Albion to Carroll and Paralee (Ridenour) Tait.  He married Annette McLellan Findlay and she survives of Pittsburg.

Lonnie served in the U.S. Navy as an airplane mechanic.  He was a truck driver and enjoyed farming. Lonnie was an active member of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Marion and enjoyed visiting with his friends at K.B. BBQ.

Son-Robert “Bob” and Heidi Findlay

Daughter-Sonya Tait

Daughter-Cheryl LeSeure

Daughter-Linda Nixon

Son-Jordan Tait

Daughter-Angelina Tait

Grandchildren-Parker Nixon, Evan Nixon, Brandon Campbell, Jessica Findlay, Lauren Sweeny, Sandi Ownbey and Heather Findlay.

Sister-Carol and Bob Harris

Mother-Paralee Tait

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the funeral service and visitation are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and the wearing of masks is encouraged.

Sincere condolences to all of you. I fondly remember fun times with Lonnie and Carol when we were growing up. I had forgotten that Lonnie and I had the same birthday until I saw it in the obituary. He was just a few years older. Wish I could be there to honor him; but, know I will be there in spirit.
