Lyndell Kelley

MARION-Lyndell E. Kelley, 65, of Marion passed away at 2:30 AM, Sunday, May 30, 2004 at Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Eddie Null officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Freedom Cemetery, Marion. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959. Mr. Kelley was born on October 26, 1938 in Marion, Illinois to Vernon L. and Lenora (Graul) Kelley. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Tina Kelley of Marion; son, Scott Kelley of Marion; his mother, Lenora Kelley of Marion; sisters and brothers-in-law, Delores and Reverend Eddie Null and Brenda and Fred Boester all of Marion; and brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Carlene Kelley of Creal Springs. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Kelley. Mr. Kelley worked for Old Ben #25 mine for most of his working career. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He loved horse racing, farming and raising cattle.
