Margaret Ann Pritchett

Margaret Ann Pritchett, 83 of Marion, Illinois passed away peacefully at 12:30am on Friday, March 15, 2019 at her home among her family. Born to Clyde & Kathryn Edwards on August 9, 1935 in Palzo, Illinois, she was the oldest of 11 children. She married the love of her life, Carl Ray Pritchett on September 1, 1956. Together they enjoyed 62 years of traveling, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents, 4 Brothers, Robert, Deon, John and Joseph Edwards and 2 Sisters, Shelby Brown and Kathryn Darlene Cyr. Left to mourn her passing is her husband Carl, her dog, Buddy, and two children. Alan Pritchett of Marion, Illinois and Carla (Bill) Rodd of New Port Richey, Florida. She was also blessed to have three grand children Jason (Elizabeth) Pritchett and Megan (Jonathan) Heyde both of Marion, and Nickolas Rodd of Winter Springs, Florida. Her greatest joys were her seven great grandchildren, Alyssa, Hailey & Brantley Rodd of Hayesville, North Carolina, Lillie Meyers, and, Olivia, Ridge & Landry Heyde all of Marion, Illinois. Her surviving siblings are Betty Newsom of Kansas City, Missouri, Leon Edwards and Charlene Johnson, both of Christopher, Illinois and Fonda McBride of Nampa, Idaho. Margaret owned and operated her own Hair Salon and enjoyed her career of hair designer throughout the years. She was also a Life Member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was always willing to help anyone in need, offer advice or just a listening ear. Her caring spirit and sharp wit will be remembered by many. She loved to travel, enjoyed cooking and canning and crafts. Her time with family was the most important to her, however she enjoyed memorable time with many friends and neighbors. Her wishes were to be cremated and the family has entrusted Blue Funeral Home with the arrangements. No public services will be held, a private family service will be scheduled for a later time.
