Marion Deere

Carbondale-Marion Udell Deere, 85, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the VA Medical Center. Marion was born on December 2, 1932 in Goreville to Ralph and Sadie (Jenkins) Deere. He married Pauline Janis Pearson and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2015. Marion served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Survivors include: Daughter-Kimberly Deere Hudson and husband Randall of Carbondale Several grandchildren and great grandchildren Step children: Linda Shields Janice Abrams Carolyn Marrow Gary Weddle Clarence Weddle, Jr. Sister in law-Betty Cooke of IN Brother in law-Pete Eggemeyer Brothers-Frank Deere and wife Juanita and John Deere and wife Virginia Sister-Kathy Lindsey and husband Carl He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pauline; brothers, Eddie Ray Deere and Alvin Deere; sister, Mary Eggemeyer; sister and brother in law, Lavona and Jr. Vinson and sons, Dean Charles Deere, Walter Lee Deere and William “Bill” Deere. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville. Burial will follow at Busby Cemetery.  Military Rites will be performed by the Johnson County VFW with assistance from the U.S. Marine Corps.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
